REFINED P-STYLE BODY WITH NEW GEN NECK SYSTEM
The P7 New Gen features Sire’s the Edgeless™ and updated New Gen C-shape neck and stainless steel frets for improved comfort and durability, while a traditional wide P-style nut (42 mm 4-string / 47.5 mm 5-string) and lightweight open-gear tuners ensure classic feel with better balance.
SUPER-PJ PICKUP SYSTEM
The Marcus Super-PJ Revolution pickups deliver powerful P-style punch with added J-style clarity, paired with the Marcus Heritage-3 preamp featuring mid-frequency control and a dedicated active/passive mini-toggle for instant passive access without changing settings.
MODERN HARDWARE & UPDATED CONTROLS
The Modern-S Bass Bridge enhances sustain and string stability, while the Aluminum control knobs add a premium look and feel. The revised dual-pot volume/tone and mid/frequency layout delivers wide tonal control without added complexity.
P7 CONTROL LAYOUT
Turn toward Open to increase the volume.
Turn toward Close to decrease the volume.
When turned fully in the Close direction, the volume will be muted.
Turn toward Close for a darker tone.
Turn toward Open for a brighter tone.
The center position is the basic position. In this position, both the neck
and bridge pickups are used equally.
Turn toward Neck to increase the neck pickup signal.
Turn toward Bridge to increase the bridge pickup signal.
When turned fully toward Neck, only the neck pickup is used.
When turned fully toward Bridge, only the bridge pickup is use.
Note: The following EQ controls work in Active Mode.
Turn toward Boost to increase the treble range.
Turn toward Cut to decrease the treble range.
The center position is the basic position.
Turn toward Boost to increase the middle range.
Turn toward Cut to decrease the middle range.
The center position is the basic position.
Use this knob to select the mid-frequency range affected by the Middle
control.
Turning the knob changes the selected mid-frequency point.
The Middle Frequency control takes effect when the Middle control is
boosted or cut.
Turn toward Boost to increase the bass range.
Turn toward Cut to decrease the bass range.
The center position is the basic position.
Use this switch to select between active and passive operation.
Set the switch to Active to use the onboard preamp and EQ controls.
Set the switch to Passive to bypass the active preamp and use a
more natural passive sound.
For a balanced sound, set the Pickup Balancer in
the center position and keep the EQ controls near the middle position.
To emphasize a brighter and tighter tone, turn the Pickup
Balancer toward the bridge pickup and increase the Treble slightly.
To emphasize a warmer and fuller tone, turn the Pickup Balancer
toward the neck pickup and increase the Bass slightly.
For more precise tone shaping, adjust the Middle Frequency first,
then use the Middle control to cut or boost the selected frequency
range.
Use Active mode when you want more control over the EQ.
Use Passive mode when you want a simpler and more natural tone.
